119 Donors Secure Crucial Genomic Testing for Gordana’s Cancer Treatment

119 donors came together around Gordana’s story and raised €2,785.22 - 111% of the initial goal.

The funds cover the urgent genomic test doctors need to determine how her treatment should continue.

But behind this good news is the story of a woman who, in just a few months, went from caring for the person closest to her to facing her own battle with cancer.

Nine months later, cancer reaches Gordana too

For three years, Gordana cared for her father around the clock while he battled cancer.

She stayed by his side until the very end.

Just nine months after losing him, the news came that turned her own life upside down - Gordana herself was diagnosed with cancer.

Today, she is going through treatment without parents, a husband, or children by her side.

Gordana has already undergone major breast surgery. After the operation, doctors need additional information to determine whether chemotherapy would be appropriate and how her treatment should continue.

That was when she also faced the financial barrier that led her to seek help through PavelAndreev.ORG.

Help at the hardest moment

At that moment, Gordana turned to people with one deeply personal plea:

“Please don’t leave me alone in this darkness.”

119 people responded.

The funds initially needed have now been raised, and one of the most urgent obstacles in the path of her treatment has been overcome.

Gordana’s fight is only beginning

More tests and medical expenses still lie ahead, including a PET scan.

The first urgent goal has been reached, but Gordana still needs support.
