502 donors came together on PavelAndreev.ORG and raised €9,282.80 – 186% of the amount initially needed.
Thanks to you, the family of two-month-old Svetozar was able to stay close to him in Sofia while doctors continue fighting for his life.
Svetozar is only two months old, but his battle began almost immediately after birth.
At just two days old, he underwent major surgery.
A long hospital stay and treatment followed, and when he was finally discharged, his family’s joy lasted only 48 hours.
His condition suddenly deteriorated, and the baby had to be urgently transported by helicopter to Sofia.
While doctors care for Svetozar, his parents are facing another challenge – they do not even have the means to cover regular travel and accommodation in the capital.
The family also has a 5-year-old child who needs their care. Svetozar’s father must be by his side while also providing the income the family depends on.
Funds are needed for travel, accommodation, food, hygiene supplies for the baby and the most basic expenses while he remains in hospital.
His mother’s request is simple:
“I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for the chance to be by our child’s side.”
The answer came from 502 people.
The €9,282.80 raised exceeded the original goal and gave the family the means to cover their expenses during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
While Svetozar continues his battle in hospital, his parents now know they do not have to go through it alone.
Thank you to everyone who donated, shared the campaign or helped Svetozar’s story reach more people.
Sometimes help cannot take away the pain. But it can make sure that when a two-month-old baby is fighting for his life, his mom and dad can stay close to him.
