In Less Than 24 Hours, 403 Donors Raised €30,094 for Nevzet's Treatment

In less than 24 hours, 403 donors raised €30,094.11 and secured the funds needed for the treatment of a man who lost movement and sensation in his legs in just ten days.

On August 2, he was still going to work.

By August 12, he could no longer move even his toes.

Today, he is completely paralyzed from the waist down, while his family is racing against time to give him a chance to stand again.

Just Ten Days Changed His Entire Life

It all began with lower back pain.

After a few days, the pain subsided, but his left leg began to go numb and gradually lose strength. Soon, the same thing happened to his right leg.

In just ten days, an active man became bedridden and completely dependent on the help of others.

Numerous examinations followed as doctors searched for the cause. Several possible diagnoses were considered, while a planned surgery had to be postponed because of a serious kidney inflammation.

But his family refused to give up.

Doctors Find a Chance for Treatment

After the family sought medical help abroad, doctors discovered a severe deformity and compression of the spinal cord.

They recommended two major surgeries, followed by extensive physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Treatment needs to begin as soon as possible.

The cost of the surgeries, examinations, and hospital stay was far beyond what the family could afford.

That is when they turned to the PavelAndreev.ORG community.

Less Than 24 Hours Were Enough

The response came almost immediately.

And the financial barrier standing in the way of starting his treatment has now been overcome.

But behind these numbers is one very simple dream.

His daughter wants to see him standing again.

To see him hug his grandchildren.

To take a step toward them.

And one day, to kick a ball with them again.
