Olá, meu nome é Káliton Gomes, tenho 31 anos, sou cozinheiro e nos últimos meses minha vida tem sido marcada por um desafio gigantesco. 
 
Vou contar um pouco da minha história, sou imigrante em Portugal há dois anos e sempre enfrentei as dificuldades com coragem, mas nada poderia me preparar para o que estou vivendo agora. Fui diagnosticado com um sarcoma, um tipo raro e agressivo de câncer, e passei semanas internado no hospital, até o diagnóstico e início de tratamento que ocorreu em janeiro/25. 
 
Agora, fora do hospital, sigo lutando contra a doença, tenho esperança na cura e sigo em busca dela. Faço quimioterapia quinzenalmente até a regressão do cancro. Enquanto enfrento dificuldades financeiras, custos com moradia, alimentação, mercado, transporte, remédios são altos, e atualmente não recebo nenhum tipo de ajuda governamental. Não posso voltar ao Brasil para tratamento por indicação médica, principalmente para não interromper o tratamento. Meu foco é garantir um espaço seguro para continuar o tratamento, e não está sendo fácil, a burocracia em Portugal é alta e sigo sem nenhuma renda! 
 
Por isso, decidi continuar compartilhando minha história e pedindo apoio. Estou arrecadando fundos para cobrir essas necessidades básicas e me preparar para os desafios que ainda estão por vir. Qualquer contribuição, por menor que seja, fará uma diferença enorme na minha recuperação. Se não puder contribuir financeiramente, ficarei imensamente grato se puder compartilhar minha história ou enviar palavras de apoio. Sua solidariedade significa mais do que posso expressar. Tenho documentos que comprovam minha situação e sigo me dedicando à recuperação.

Hello, my name is Káliton Gomes, I am 31 years old, I am a cook and in the last few months my life has been marked by a huge challenge. 
I will tell you a little about my story. I have been an immigrant in Portugal for two years and I have always faced difficulties with courage, but nothing could prepare me for what I am experiencing now. I was diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare and aggressive type of cancer, and I spent weeks in the hospital until the diagnosis and start of treatment, which occurred in January 2025. 
Now, out of the hospital, I continue to fight the disease, I have hope for a cure and I continue to search for it. I undergo chemotherapy every two weeks until the cancer regresses. While I am facing financial difficulties, the costs of housing, food, groceries, transportation, and medicine are high, and I currently do not receive any type of government assistance.  
 
I cannot return to Brazil for treatment on medical advice, mainly to avoid interrupting the treatment. My focus is to secure a safe space to continue the treatment, and it is not easy. The bureaucracy in Portugal is high and I still have no income! That's why I decided to keep sharing my story and asking for support. I'm raising funds to cover these basic needs and prepare myself for the challenges that lie ahead. 
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in my recovery. If you can't contribute financially, I would be immensely grateful if you could share my story or send words of support. Your solidarity means more than I can say. I have documents that prove my situation and I continue to dedicate myself to recovery.
