The results of this fundraising campaign are a powerful reminder of what can happen when compassion turns into action. They are also a reason for deep gratitude to every person who became part of this cause.
A total of 725 donors joined together and helped raise 40,942.05 EUR, exceeding the original goal and reaching 117% of the needed amount.
This success is not just an impressive number. It is a chance for life given to Toncho and a meaningful lesson in humanity for all of us. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and believed. You proved that when people stand side by side, led by compassion, even the hardest battles can find hope.
Toncho’s loved ones know him as a caring husband and father. His two young children feel safe in his arms and need their father beside them.
Until the summer of 2025, life followed its normal rhythm.
Then Toncho and his family were faced with a devastating diagnosis: advanced stage four colon cancer. A complex surgery to remove the tumor, followed by multiple rounds of chemotherapy, gave the family hope that the disease had been brought under control.
At the end of March, everything changed suddenly. Doctors found multiple metastases in the liver, followed by further cancer spread. In April, a new tumor growth was discovered, forcing surgeons to create a stoma in order to save Toncho’s life.
After the operation, Toncho was discharged home to recover. His family then found a new and real opportunity for treatment - dendritic cell therapy in Germany.
This form of immunotherapy aims to support the exhausted immune system in its fight against cancer cells, giving Toncho a chance for a longer and fuller life.
The cost of this treatment was 35,000 EUR - an impossible amount for a family that had already been through months of fear, pain, and uncertainty.
At that critical moment, you stepped in. People with generous hearts refused to remain indifferent to another family’s suffering.
Thanks to this successful campaign, Toncho now has the chance to continue his fight. This story is another proof that the compassion of many people can bring hope where it is needed most.
Thank you for helping Toncho during such an important stage of his battle.
