Desislava Gets a Second Chance in Her Second Battle with Cancer

Most of us believe that the worst things in life happen to someone else. We convince ourselves that tragedy belongs to distant headlines, not to ordinary families like our own.

Yet every day at PavelAndreev.ORG we are reminded that illness does not choose its victims. Young parents, children, and people who were healthy only yesterday can suddenly find themselves facing life-changing diagnoses.

Desislava's story is one of those stories.

A Second Battle with Cancer

Thirteen years ago, Desislava lost her husband to cancer.

She was left alone to rebuild her life after an unimaginable loss.

Years passed, but fate confronted her with the same devastating enemy once again.

This time, the diagnosis was hers.

At just 44 years old, Desislava was diagnosed with neck cancer. Doctors made it clear that treatment had to begin as quickly as possible. Chemotherapy, radiation therapy, medical examinations, and hospital expenses quickly became overwhelming, placing an enormous financial burden on her family.

1,884 People Stood by Desislava

When Desislava launched her fundraising campaign on PavelAndreev.ORG, she was not alone for long.

A total of 1,884 donors decided to stand by her side.

Together, they raised €57,781.81, making it possible for her treatment to begin without dangerous delays.

Almost €58,000.
