After Years of Serving Others, Pastor Sergei Received the Chance to Heal

Anyone who visits the social media pages of PavelAndreev.ORG will notice something remarkable beneath almost every campaign. Hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people leave prayers for those in need—each according to their own faith, but united by the same hope for healing, compassion and mercy.

This time, the person in need of that compassion was someone who had spent his entire life offering it to others.

"I am not someone who finds it easy to ask for help," Pastor Sergei wrote when launching his fundraising campaign. "Throughout my life, I have tried to be a source of strength for others. As a pastor, I have encouraged people not to lose hope, supported them through difficult times and reminded them to keep their faith. Today, however, I am the one who needs support."

And support is exactly what he received from the PavelAndreev.ORG community.

Faith, Patience and a Long Battle

For years, Pastor Sergei has lived with a severe form of epilepsy. Despite ongoing treatment in Bulgaria, his condition continued to worsen, with increasingly frequent and debilitating seizures that gradually drained his strength.

For someone whose calling has always been to care for others, each day became a greater physical challenge.

Then a new possibility emerged—a specialized treatment abroad that offered genuine hope. Unfortunately, its cost was far beyond what he and his family could afford.

In his campaign, Pastor Sergei shared another deeply personal reflection:

"It is difficult for me to ask for help. I have always believed that God brings people into our lives who become the answer to someone's prayer. Today, I pray that I will meet such people."

His prayer did not go unanswered.

When Compassion Becomes Action

The thousands of prayers that regularly appear beneath PavelAndreev.ORG campaigns found a tangible expression through this story.

People chose not only to offer words of encouragement but also to act.

Donors from the PavelAndreev.ORG community came together and raised the funds needed for Pastor Sergei to begin his treatment abroad, giving him the opportunity to pursue the care that had previously been out of reach.

Every donation became another step toward a future with greater hope, stability and dignity.

The Answer to a Prayer

For many years, countless people turned to Pastor Sergei for guidance, comfort and hope during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

This time, the roles were reversed.

The community became the answer to his prayer.
