Friends, Plamen Nikolaev Penchev needs our support. He has been invited to a very elite conference in Dubai on 15 and 16 November this year. He will be travelling with his mentor Dr. Andrey Velev.

He needs the sum of 4 thousand BGN which covers the travel (round trip), food and participation fee of 1 200 BGN. The University of Plovdiv does not have the budget to help him at the moment, because this academic year it covered his participation fee in London, where he won first place (picture 3 is the first place certificate), and the boy covered the travel with his own money. The last of his savings went to cover the cost of the conference in Thailand (photo 2) in May this year, which he has already paid for and cannot refuse (the invitation to Dubai came unexpectedly and a few days ago they quite unexpectedly accepted the topic of his presentation - photo 1).

The association "Treatment of Kovid with Reconvalescent Plasma", which helped him to get a scholarship (from which he saves for German lessons because he wants to specialize in Germany and pays them all by himself) also refused him support because "he did not advertise them". Pharmaceutical companies can help him, but in return they want him to commit himself and when he becomes a doctor and starts practicing, to prescribe their drugs to his patients... He applied several times for scholarships to different NGOs, but because in Bulgaria everything is #notagreedinadvance, he failed there too.

And I really believe we will help this boy to represent Bulgaria in Dubai - he is the only Bulgarian there.

Because this money will go for science, not for other things, which I won't spoil the post by naming them.

By 01.04. 2024 he has to pay the whole amount, because there will be an appreciation... Please who can help him with anything. ❤️
