My name is Viliana, I am 39 years old, from Plovdiv and I am writing these lines because I am facing another battle for my life.

I need your help to fight my diagnosis - lung cancer.

My battle started back when I was 25, I woke up one morning and couldn't see anything out of one eye. I went through numerous tests, consultations and suspected all sorts of diagnoses, eventually being diagnosed with retrobulbar neuritis, which is a symptom of multiple sclerosis.

Up until 2017, I was able to successfully fight and avoid giving myself MS, but after a car accident and surgery, I met all the criteria of multiple sclerosis.

In June 2022, I underwent another surgery that reactivated the symptoms of the disease. My vision blurred, my hands and feet became numb and my gait deteriorated. I had to be hospitalised three times in a row to treat the attacks. I then had an MRI of my head and neck to determine how far the illness had deteriorated. On this examination they found a finding on the top of my lung. After two consecutive hospital stays, first at St. George's Hospital in St. George's, I was admitted to hospital. I was diagnosed with Aspergilloma of the lung. This necessitated stopping my treatment for MS as it was incompatible with this diagnosis. This necessitated the first operation in the hospital "Kaspela" - town of. I had my first surgery at the Kaspersky Hospital in Plovdiv on 08.08.2023.

To my horror, after the operation I received a new slap from life, the diagnosis of Aspergilloma was replaced with a malignant tumor of the lung, low-differentiated adenocarcinoma.

This necessitated another radical operation on 16.08.2023 to remove the upper lobe of the lung and the affected lymph nodes.

One month after the surgery I had a PET/CT at UniHospital, Prague. I had a PET scan in Panagyurishte, where they determined the presence of metastases.

I had a number of tests to determine the most appropriate treatment for me. This turned out to be immunotherapy , but alas the doctors concluded that it was incompatible with MS. This treatment was dropped as an option as it could worsen multiple sclerosis and lead to a fatal end for me.

Due to the progression of the disease and the impasse I am in, I started chymotherapy as the only possible treatment for me in Bulgaria.

Neither I nor my family can come to terms with the situation and the possibility of losing my life, so we started looking for clinics abroad that could offer me a therapy that is lacking in Bulgaria and could help me heal.

The first to respond was the Anadolu Joe Hopkins Hospital in Istanbul. Istanbul. They showed interest in my case and offered me to go to Turkey for the necessary consultations and tests. We have also made inquiries to two other clinics from which I am awaiting a response.
