Светът ни се преобърна на нашето слънчице Моника само на 11 години й беше поставена тежката диагноза остра лимфобластна левкемия. Започнахме лечение в България, но за съжаление резултатите не са добри.
След последната химиотерапия Мони получи тежък гърч, направено ЕЕГ показа отклонения в мозъка, подобни на епилептична активност. Лекарите я изписаха с изключително ниски показатели – левкоцити 15 и тромбоцити 37, и искат още в понеделник да започне нов курс лечение.
Като майка потърсих второ мнение в Турция – там специалистите категорично казаха, че преди ново вливане трябва да се направи миелограма и преливания на плазма, защото в противен случай състоянието може да се повтори и да бъде животозастрашаващо заради ниските й показатели. Те потвърдиха, че след излизане в ремисия е наложителна трансплантация на костен мозък.
Мони е едва на 11 години и се бори за живота си. Въпреки всичко, тя продължава да рисува и мечтае, сякаш иска да ни покаже, че не се предава.

Our world has turned upside down our sunshine Monica at only 11 years old has been given the severe diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. We have started treatment in Bulgaria but unfortunately the results are not good.
After the last chemotherapy Moni had a severe seizure, an EEG done showed abnormalities in the brain similar to epileptic activity. The doctors discharged her with extremely low readings - leukocytes 15 and platelets 37, and they want her to start a new course of treatment as early as Monday.
As a mother, I sought a second opinion in Turkey - the specialists there categorically said that a myelogram and plasma transfusions should be done before a new infusion, otherwise the condition could recur and be life-threatening because of her low readings. They confirmed that bone marrow transplantation is necessary after going into remission.
Moni is only 11 years old and is fighting for her life. Despite everything, she continues to draw and dream, as if to show us that she is not giving up.
