My child is facing what a mother never wants to think about - the terrible disease CANCER...

When Toni was 21 years old she developed complaints in the area below her ear - there was a lump. She went to her GP and he told her it was from the wisdom tooth. They removed the wisdom tooth but the lump remained. On a return visit to her GP, he said the lump would absorb by itself. All we had to do was wait. After a while he noticed that not only had the lump not absorbed, but it had grown. She went to the hospital in Ruse for an examination and had emergency surgery on the tumor. After histology of the tumor it turned out - Adenoid-cystic carcinoma of the parotid gland, in simpler words "cancer".

A second operation was necessary in Sofia in the hospital "VMA" - maxillofacial surgery. After the operation the surgeon explained to me that he had to cut out a lot of tissue and the facial nerve, he said he had cleared everything possible but if there were any dissections and they went to her head she would die. At that point my soul died. I wiped away the tears and went to my child, told her everything went well.

Radiotherapy treatments followed after which she went into remission. In 2022, at one of the follow-up exams, multiple scattered lung lesions were seen. On thorough examination, it was found that the cancer had returned to the facial nerve. Again surgery followed and again radiotherapy. Half of her face became paralyzed, and she could not even close her eye on her own. Unfortunately dissections also appeared in her lower back, pelvis and ribs. Months of radiotherapy with no results. The doctors decided to start chemotherapy. So almost a year of chemotherapy had no good result, scatters appeared in the liver too.

We went for a second opinion in the city of Panagyurishte, the answer was that only this treatment is allowed in the European Union.
And so we come to the present time. A kind woman put us in touch with a doctor in Turkey at the Memorial Hospital in Istanbul. After the examination we were given hope that there was a therapy that could put my child into remission. Unfortunately, the amount is unaffordable for us. Each course of chemotherapy is 3,200 euros, and so far we have been given 5 courses, and more are likely to be needed. Tony has already had one course and will soon have a second, but in order for him to go through the next ones, and be able to heal, we need your help.
