Please , together we can raise 18 354 leva to buy 690 sets ( school materials together with an educational spelling dictionary of the Bulgarian language, and 5 pcs each of small and large format notebooks ) for the new school year.

The poverty line for the country is 22.9% and it is not decreasing. Many social programmes are in place, but they are far from enough to cover the needs of every child. And many , many parents never go to seek help.

There are no official statistics on exactly how many children of parents are below the poverty line. The number needed is calculated on the basis of statistics on the total number of pupils and the poverty line for the municipality of Smolyan.

Therefore, all the school kits purchased will be distributed to the Principals of schools in Smolyan municipality , who know best which children need a decent start.

Let's give every child a decent start , let's make all these children happy with a kit for the first day of school.
