Аз съм Сузи, на 18 години. Преди 6 години светът ни се преобърна, когато научихме, че имам тумор в мозъка.
Живея с мама и бати, и знам, че съм боец — също като мама. След много консултации тя стигна до решението операцията ми на главата да се извърши в Турция.
Събраха се много пари, операцията и ужасът покрай нея минаха, но не знаехме, че нашата борба продължава. Оттогава до този момент по два или три пъти в годината се налага да пътуваме до Турция за профилактични изследвания, прегледи и закупуване на скъпоструващи лекарства.
След операцията се появиха припадъци. След преглед при невролог в Истанбул беше сменено едно от лекарствата и припадъците изчезнаха за кратко. Понякога съм с високо кръвно, друг път – с кръвно 70/40.
Поради здравословното ми състояние през всички тези години бях на самостоятелна форма на обучение и тази година завърших. От преди три месеца започнаха да ми изтръпват и двата крака, появиха се силни болки и припадъците се върнаха — за два месеца имах четири припадъка. Надявам се това пътуване до Турция да има резултат и да донесе подобрение.
Имаме преглед при невролог и неврохирурга, който ме оперира, за да се проследи състоянието на главата ми и евентуален рецидив, както и при ендокринолог, който следи дозите на всичките ми лекарства.
На 27 октомври имам ЕЕГ на главата и ЕМГ, а на 28 – ЯМР с контраст.
Докато мама се грижи за мен, през последната година тя се грижеше и за баба и дядо, които бяха на легло, но наскоро дядо ни напусна. Аз вече съм голяма и виждам колко ѝ е трудно – толкова години прави всичко възможно за нас, но вече няма сили.

Преди операцията лекарите казваха, че туморът притиска и е въпрос на време да ослепея, а също така беше спрял растежа ми. Един лекар каза на мама:
„Избирай – или ще я гледаш с малко телце и глава, или ще отидете на сложна и трудна операция, за която аз не давам гаранция.“
Оттогава започнаха проблемите с очите ми. В момента не виждам нищо надалече. Знам, че догодина мама ще трябва да събере повече пари, защото ще трябва да се направи преглед на очите и, може би, операция.
Вече 6 години алармата постоянно ми звъни за моите лекарства – през няколко часа:
06:00, 07:00, 10:00, 13:00, 14:00, 20:00, 01:00 часа.

I am Suzy, 18 years old. 6 years ago our world was turned upside down when we found out I had a brain tumor.
I live with my mom and dad, and I know I'm a fighter - just like my mom. After many consultations, she came to the decision to have my head surgery done in Turkey.
A lot of money was raised, the surgery and the horror of it went by, but we didn't know that our struggle continued. Since then, we have had to travel to Turkey two or three times a year for preventive tests, check-ups and to buy expensive medicines.
After the surgery, seizures appeared. After an examination with a neurologist in Istanbul, one of the medications was changed and the seizures disappeared briefly. Sometimes I have high blood pressure, other times 70/40.
Due to my health condition, I have been in independent studies all these years and graduated this year. Since three months ago, both my legs have started to go numb, severe pains appeared and the seizures came back - I had four seizures in two months. I hope this trip to Turkey will have an effect and bring improvement.
We have a check up with the neurologist and neurosurgeon who operated on me to monitor my head condition and possible relapse, as well as an endocrinologist who is monitoring the doses of all my medications.
I have a head EEG and EMG on October 27 and an MRI with contrast on October 28.
While Mom has been taking care of me, for the past year she has also been taking care of Grandma and Grandpa who were bedridden, but Grandpa recently left us. I'm older now and I can see how hard it is for her - she did everything she could for us for so many years, but she doesn't have the strength anymore.
So, dear people, I am appealing to you - give me a hand!

Before the operation the doctors said that the tumour was pressing and it was a matter of time before I went blind, and it had also stopped my growth. One doctor told Mom:
"You have a choice - either you look at it with a little body and head, or you go for a complicated and difficult operation, which I don't give a guarantee for."
From then on, my eye problems started. At the moment, I can't see anything in the distance. I know next year Mom will have to raise more money because I will have to have an eye exam and, maybe, surgery.
For 6 years now my alarm has been ringing constantly for my medication - every few hours:
06:00, 07:00, 10:00, 13:00, 14:00, 20:00, 01:00.
