It all started about a month ago with complaints of severe overexertion, shortness of breath when walking and painful sores in the oral cavity. Katya started taking an antibiotic related to her complaints without suspecting anything. After the antibiotic briefly reduced the complaints , the symptoms returned and even intensified. Bruising on the body loss of appetite occurs. Swellings on lymph nodes and unpleasant sensation when swallowing appeared.During this period Katya lost 4 kg of her weight. On this occasion, Katya underwent laboratory investigations with a high leukocyte count at the expense of lymphocyte count and was referred to a haematologist. She was then admitted to the PCT unit for newly diagnosed Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Due to the specificity of the disease, daily infusions of apheresis platelets are currently required and potential donors are sought daily, who must be A+ or A- blood type. Katya's relatives have contacted a Turkish clinic who have given them an approximate offer which is attached and they hope to improve and proceed to the next stage of treatment which is a bone marrow transplant.
