My name is Krasimira. I'm just a mother. I am 38 years old and my biggest dream is to be able to be by my children - my daughter and my son - to hug them every day, to see them grow, to be a support to them as only a mother can.

But today I am struggling - not just with fear, but with something much more serious. My heart... refuses. I've already had 2 devices implanted - a pacemaker and a loop recorder. I have been getting severe, life threatening ventricular arrhythmias for a year. Doctors say I need another "machine" - a cardioverter-defibrillator that could save my life in the worst moments. I also have a damaged mitral valve, which will also have to be replaced at some point.

All these problems do not tolerate delay. My condition is unstable - my heart could literally stop at any moment. And the time I am wasting looking for a solution in Bulgaria is taking me away from my children... from life.

Here, in our country, everything happens slowly. Doctors are of different opinion, there is no clarity, no plan. And I have no time to waste. I have no right to wait.

That's why I made the difficult but only possible decision - to go to Germany, where a team of specialists will do all the necessary tests and draw up a specific treatment plan. This gives me hope. For examinations, an MRI of the heart, an electrophysiological study, an echocardiogram, blood tests and a hospital stay, around 25 thousand euros will be needed. Then we will know exactly what intervention will be needed and how much it will cost.

The examinations are planned for mid-July. By then I have to collect the amount. Every donation, every shared word, every outstretched hand - for me it means life.

Please... help me stay by my children. They need me. And I need you.
