We are a group of enthusiasts from the village of. Omarchevo, municipality. Nova Zagora, obl. Sliven. We live in the village and we want it to be picturesque and cozy.

However, nothing would make sense if we forget faith and spirituality. The church, everywhere, in our small village - also, is the place of true life of us, Christians. The church is our memory - of all that the Lord Jesus Christ has done, a memory of our worthy ancestors who gave their strength and love to build the temple.

We have been busy repairing and rebuilding our church, St. Elijah the Prophet. The church was built in 1892... We began the renovation in September 2023, with funds raised from donations, only from individuals - from residents of the village. Omarchevo, from people connected and not connected with the village, from friends and others. We have done quite a bit. So far, with these funds - 30 000 BGN, and a lot of volunteer work, we have almost finished the internal renovation - replaced windows, restored wooden gates, plastering and painting walls and ceiling, painting wooden parts, installing new wooden flooring, replacing lighting, etc...

Now we have to plaster and paint the outside of the building and build a bell tower, for which we need more funds. We have £4,500, we need another £30,000 ( £20,000 for the external plastering and painting, £10,000 for the bell tower).

We believe we will find these funds - from people with faith, hope and love in their hearts.
