Hello,

This is the story of Lea - a small and frightened creature I found curled up in a ball in front of someone else's door in a small village near Plovdiv. She was alone, exhausted and defenseless. I went to the store to get some food to give her to eat, I didn't know how long she hadn't eaten. When I came back and she got up to eat, my heart clenched - I saw that she was limping.

It started to rain, but I couldn't leave her there, alone in the dark. I took her with me. After an examination at the vet, it was clear that Leah had a broken leg. The operation, which would give her a chance to run and play again, will cost about 500 BGN - a sum I am finding difficult to raise at the moment.

The other option is to let her leg heal on its own, but that would mean depriving Leah of the opportunity to ever move freely and without pain. That's not an option for me - she deserves so much more. I have another dog, a dad much bigger than her ☺️, and I can see how Leah wants to play with him, but for now her pain won't allow it.

We have more consultations with orthopedists to come, but for now this amount is the best. Please, if you can help Leah have a chance at a full life, I would be eternally grateful - not only to me, but to Leah, who will be able to run happily and without pain.
