Help Jam-un piccolo combattente

Ciao, mi chiamo Martina e ho bisogno del tuo aiuto. Il mio gatto Jam necessita urgentemente di cure. Jam è un dolce, goffo e affettuoso gatto domestico che fa parte della nostra famiglia da otto anni. Sembra proprio come Silvestro dei cartoni animati. È tenero, giocoso e incredibilmente amorevole. Quando il cane di famiglia è morto alcuni anni fa, Jam si è addirittura ammalato per lo stress. Ecco quanto sono profondi i suoi legami.

Qualche giorno fa, Jam ha improvvisamente sviluppato sintomi gravi ed è stato portato d'urgenza in una clinica veterinaria. La diagnosi è ancora in corso, ma è chiaro che ha una malattia renale cronica policistica. Uno dei suoi reni sta fallendo completamente. L'altro potrebbe ancora essere salvato, ma richiederà molte cure quotidiane, farmaci, cibo speciale e monitoraggio. Stiamo facendo tutto il possibile, ma i costi stanno aumentando rapidamente.

Stiamo cercando di coprire le spese per la visita veterinaria d'urgenza (vedi foto), prossimi esami e iniziare il piano di trattamento a lungo termine di cui avrà bisogno. Soprattutto, vogliamo assicurarci che riceva l'attenzione e le cure quotidiane necessarie per avere una vita buona e senza dolore per il maggior tempo possibile.

Hello, my name is Martina and I need your help.

My  cat Jam is in urgent need of care.

Jam is a sweet, goofy, affectionate house cat who’s been part of our family for eight years. He looks just like Sylvester from the cartoons . He’s cuddly, playful, and incredibly loving. When the family dog passed away a few years ago, Jam actually got sick from the stress. That’s just how deep his bonds go.

A few days ago, Jam suddenly developed serious symptoms and had to be rushed to emergency care. The diagnosis is still unfolding, but it’s clear he has polycystic chronic kidney disease. One of his kidneys is completely failing. The other one may still be saved, but it’s going to take a lot of daily care, medications, prescription food, and monitoring.

We’re doing everything we can — but the costs are piling up fast. We’re trying to cover the emergency vet visit (see photos), upcoming exams, and start the long-term treatment plan he’ll need. Most of all, we want to make sure he gets the daily attention and care he needs to have a good, pain-free life for as long as possible.
