The miracle happened: Little Maria successfully underwent life-saving surgery

There are moments when life puts a parent’s heart to the test — a heart that seems to stop beating while waiting for good news. The story of little Maria begins with many hopes and dreams, which shortly after birth collide with harsh reality.

In her very first days, Maria showed signs of problems that were later diagnosed as hydrocephalus and severe general hypotonia. For months, her family fought for her health, going through numerous rehabilitation sessions. Despite all efforts, her condition worsened to the point where an urgent operation abroad became vital in order to preserve her brain and allow her to develop normally.

Thanks to the incredible support of 1,750 donors, who together raised the amount of 55,966.58 EUR, Maria’s operation was successfully carried out. The Aleksandrovi family shares with great joy that the results from the latest examinations confirm the success of the operation and Maria’s excellent recovery.

Her blood tests are within normal ranges, brain activity is normal, and doctors optimistically note that her development corresponds to her age.
