In 2020, I had surgery for cervical cancer. The same year I had 60 beam radiation and 3 chemo treatments at the same time. Later brachytherapy was also done.

In 2021 I had a second cancer surgery in the same place. After the surgery I was left with a bladder fistula and a hernia. From October that year I started chemotherapy due to recurrence. I had 8 chemo treatments by mid 2022. At the same time, I had to have a stent placed on my left kidney and that's when it was realized that my right kidney was not working. In the middle of June they had to put a nephrostomy on my right kidney.

In the summer of 2023 I had surgery to close the bladder fistula. The operation was unsuccessful. They infected me with an internal hospital infection. I stayed in the hospital for a very long time.Days after discharge I was rushed to another hospital as an emergency. On attempting to change the stent , due to blockage the renal tubule closed necessitating the insertion of a second nephrostomy on the left kidney.

In 2024 I was admitted twice to hospital as an emergency with severe infection resulting in kidney failure.

The surgery they are planning in Turkey will enable them to clear accumulated infectious stones and other waste tissue in the kidneys and ureters, which will save me from being put on haemodialysis in the near future. Until my kidneys are cleared, I will continue to live with infection, which will inevitably lead me to hemodialysis ( in the opinion of our specialists).
