"I am Maria and I am afraid of doctors and hospitals, but I am there all the time!

Sometimes the doctors smile, sometimes they are angry and worried, but whenever I am with them I am scared, because they often have little sharp things that they poke me on the arm with! I love being with the kids, I love being taken to the playgroup, but I'm often sick and running a fever and that's why I'm home! I have a wonderful mom and dad who love me very much!

Daddy is a roofing contractor and mommy is home watching me! They love me very much, but they often cry! I hear them at night while I'm in bed! They talk about money, they say we don't have any but we need it! I don't know exactly what money is, but if you have it, I will ask you to help us so that mom and dad will stop crying!"

Little Maria, who is not yet two years old, was born with a megaureter /double/ , resulting in retention and reflux in both kidneys! This leads to very frequent kidney infections, taking constantly different types of antibiotics at this tender age! The problem is that if action is not taken quickly this will lead to kidney failure and an urgent need for a subsequent kidney transplant!

The operation needs to be done at a time when there is no infection and right now is that time, but until when is unknown! Maria's family were in Turkey for a consultation last week where they spent all their savings on travel, hotel and all the necessary tests!

Now they rely solely on people with good hearts! The amount is not big, but it is huge for them! Every help makes a difference! Every sharing is important! Every prayer is needed!
