It all started when our baby was a month and a half old. Suddenly she started to run a high fever, which lasted for several days. This worried us and we visited a medical specialist who prescribed an antibiotic. After taking it, there was a slight momentary relief as a result of which our baby started showing the same symptoms again which made us even more worried. After which we visited our personal pediatrician again who ordered blood and urine tests. The results showed that our baby's haemoglobin level was very low and we had to be admitted to hospital. When we were admitted, they immediately put a catheter in him and for about a week there they transfused blood and various medications through a system. After we were discharged from the hospital, our child continued with the torture and wearing the catheter. Half a month after our discharge, we were admitted to Pirogov for treatment. On the second day of our admission, they performed surgery to remove his posterior urethral valve and reinserted the catheter. Our treatment there then continued in a long and very stressful three weeks for us. After discharge, however, our little guy was discharged with bacteria in his urine. We were prescribed home antibiotic treatment for seven days, after which the bacteria was momentarily gone. However, we had to continue prophylactic treatment with other medications. After a further two weeks had passed, we again had prophylactic urine tests from which the same bacteria was again found to be present therefore we again had to be admitted to hospital. There for about a week he was again infused with medication the bacteria was again temporarily gone. After discharge our procedure continued again as the previous time with the intake of prophylactic medication. During the treatment in the hospital the bacteria disappeared but after about two weeks of prophylactic treatment the bacteria reappeared. After this last manifestation of the bacteria in question, we were assigned to take some more Greek medicine which is difficult to obtain. Despite the difficulty of finding the medicine we managed to find a way and purchase it. Unfortunately, however, even this medicine in question did not bring results so our common torment with our baby continued. In desperation Nicholas' father and I decided to seek treatment in another country. We were referred to treatment in Turkey by friends and acquaintances. Through their help, we managed to make contact with the Turkish hospital " LIV HOSPITAL " and they booked us an appointment for an examination. After a consultation with the Turkish specialist we were assigned an expensive treatment. Even more desperate, we returned to Bulgaria in the hope of finding help so that we could raise the necessary funds for treatment.
