Galina is a dream come true,which we never got to enjoy. After 2 IVF attempts she appeared, rushing to meet the world. Fragile and tiny,with her 980g and exceptional fight, she brightened our days. After 66 long days in neonatology, 50 of which were spent in a covey, she came home, but even then we could not rejoice, as we were quickly scalded by a diagnosis predicting blindness in one of her eyes if she did not have emergency surgery. On 13December she had laser therapy,which is helping her left eye to recover,but the right needs surgery. Unfortunately this procedure is not done in Bulgaria and we had to bring her so tiny and immature to Turkey. She has respiratory problems, she couldn't stand the long journey and became seriously ill with a respiratory virus. On Saturday morning she was scheduled for eye surgery,but on Friday she was admitted on an emergency basis with no symptoms to live in neonatology intensive care at Liv Hospital Istanbul,where the surgery was scheduled. Now it has been postponed and we are trying to preserve her life before her eyes. The amount is extremely large and unaffordable , and the time we have to raise it is short , as she is already in intensive care and being paid every day. If we don't have enough money to pay for tomorrow,it means taking her off the ventilator. The docs want her to stay there at least 10 more days until full recovery and then there is the eye situation which we hope will not be too late. We rely on the good in people ❤️
