My name is Stanimira and today with an unrelenting ache in my heart I will share with you the story of my only daughter Gabby, 13, who was diagnosed with the horrific Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.

It has been exactly one year since the overwhelming pain became a daily occurrence for Gabby. Pain that no child of 13 should have to endure. Pain that has taken her through countless doctors in 4 different cities and countless diagnoses: osteoporosis, coxarthrosis, Perthes disease. The last and most horrific diagnosis, confirmed after a biopsy, was Ewing's Sarcoma. In the crushing course of chemo- and radiotherapy the pain is even more terrible. Currently Gabby has over 60% necrosis of the hip bone. Surgery is needed to replace the bone with an implant and remove the tumor. For her treatment in Turkey, an initial estimate of about 500 000 BGN is needed. Every donation, every lev is of great importance. Another child's life depends on it. And it hurts. But we have to believe that we will make it.
