Dear people with good hearts, we are turning to you with an URGENT call for help and a request to help us give my wife Veselina Atanasova a chance to live a second life.

After 15 years of unsuccessful struggle to have our baby girl through repeated in-vitro procedures and intake of many strong medications, last July she was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis combined with severe ascites.

We said goodbye to the dream of having a child of our own, because given her severe condition her body cannot take any more chemo in any future IVF procedures, but we cannot afford to lose our last hope of saving her life.

Doctors say she has at most between six months and a year to live.

Unfortunately, she also has Type 2 Diabetes as a co-morbid condition, which further complicates her condition and within a few months there has been a rapid and irreversible deterioration with life-threatening consequences.

The only chance for Veselina, who is only , 40 years old, to live is a liver transplant. As very few transplants are performed in Bulgaria each year, and the waiting list is much larger, her chance of waiting her turn is slim.

The fact that doctors say she probably has no more than a few months to live makes the situation extremely urgent. That is why we looked into the possibility of performing the transplant in Turkey. Unfortunately, the sums that the medical institutions are asking to be paid for this purpose are unaffordable for us.

So with all my heart to a desperate husband who has given up the dream of having a child but does not want to lose his wife who has made so many sacrifices for this dream, I ask you:

Help us to the best of your abilities to raise the money needed to perform a liver transplant in Turkey. This is the only chance my wife Veselina has to live!
