Dear people, please help us to raise funds for our dear widowed mother and young grandmother of a 6 year old grandchild so that we can take her to Turkey for treatment of progressive secondary breast cancer.

She was initially diagnosed in 2021 and underwent what was then thought to be a successful operation, going through these difficult times almost alone, not sharing with her children so as not to worry them - especially me - her daughter, with a then young child and living across the border.

Sadly, inadequate post-op treatment led to the cancer returning in an even worse form just 2 years later - 2023 - from IIB hormone positive to IV triple negative.

Our mother, Maria, has given of herself and helped everyone around her all her life without asking for anything in return...and even now, when she needs help herself, all she thinks about is how not to burden and be a burden to others...But unfortunately, it is unaffordable for us to bear the costs of the travel and treatment in Istanbul-Turkey alone, where we found the most successful hospital for integrated treatment of cancer patients, especially in advanced stages of the disease (ChemoThermia Oncology clinic).

For many years, my mother and I have not been able to see each other and now that we are finally together, fate has handed us this trial...but we believe that with the right treatment and support, along with countless encouraging words and prayers, she will heal both physically and spiritually...to enjoy many more moments with her loved ones, and to fulfill her promise to visit her grandchild overseas.
