След 6-тата вливка After the 6th infusion

After the 6th infusion I still feel fine. Side effects are minimal, even negligible (some unpleasant but tolerable). I am personally surprised how well I tolerate the chemo treatments. The professor and I are both very satisfied and as he said "Mashala!" :) We haven't had a conto ultrasound yet, but the tumor marker value is decreasing.

The baby is also fine and won't stop kicking. We will start more frequent check-ups to monitor the condition, which will probably become weekly sometime.

Off the topic of my treatment and condition, I want to share some personal impressions. There is no way to compare Bulgarian hospitals with those in Turkey, but it is still remarkable how well they treat patients. In Bulgaria, at every visit to the CHC, for example, I have to explain at length that I am pregnant. In Turkey, even nurses I see for the first time are informed of my pregnancy, and the nurse manager comes to personally introduce herself and offer help if needed. Beds and chairs are available for the infusions, each in a separate space - a room with glass or what are called cubicals. I don't have many observations here, but opening a door to a room in the KOC revealed some old Ruthenian beds with old blankets (I'm not saying that's the case everywhere). And in a private hospital in Sofia, I saw a common room with lots of people, and a big line of people waiting in the lobby. Of course, this is not the most important thing, but it makes an impression. In Turkey, each infusion is determined by the patient's condition and blood results. In Bulgaria, I have no experience, but I hear that some patients cannot get out of bed after another chemotherapy, which is according to the schedule prescribed at the beginning of the treatment.

As of now, I am glad that I was denied treatment in Bulgaria and I am eternally grateful to all the donors who made my treatment in Turkey possible!
