My name is Marietta Rashkova and I am writing to you asking for help, because I can no longer cope myself. I have a sister named Ivelina Rashkova and she is only 36 years old. She is a good daughter, sister and most importantly a loving mother of two wonderful children - a boy of 11 and a girl of 4. My sister, who was full of life and emotions, loving her children, now cannot get out of bed.

Two years ago the symptoms started, such as right leg pain and limping. Then things started to get worse-she was stumbling, falling. By the time we got to the real diagnosis, she had been through many doctors and run many tests. A year and a half ago, she was diagnosed withAmyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Sporadic. Since then, we have all been fighting together to reduce the progress of the disease. After this diagnosis we were told that there is no cure for this disease, but it can slow the progression of the disease. We were also told that we did not need any other consultations or other doctors. But we continued to fight. We contacted a hospital in Turkey. However, they just confirmed the disease there too. Shortly after that they found out that Ivelina Rashkova also had Lyme disease (tick bite). After consultation with a doctor and prescribed medication, we managed to fight off at least this disease.

As time went by, it got worse. It could not be self attended. The person who has been taking care of her for a year and a half is our mother. She had given up for good, but we still contacted Professor Erdal Karayoz from Turkey. After an online consultation with him, he sent us an offer for treatment.

This is our last chance in which we can prolong her life. But this amount is unaffordable to our family. So I am writing to appeal to you so that she can see her children grow up.
