Това е Дани, на 4 години. Роден в Пловдив през 2019 година цели 5 килограма. За съжаление, при раждането получи увреждане на лявата ръка - Акушерска пареза тотален тип, с няколко прекъснати нерви и други разкъсани.
Това му коства движенията в цялата лява ръка.
Още след раждането заминахме за Турция с надеждата, че той все пак ще може да движи и използва ръката си пълноценно. Там се срещнахме с хирурга, който направи първата операция на Дани. Месеци след първия му преглед изчаквахме за въстановяване на движенията без оперативна намеса. Дани беше на усилена рехабилитация, физиотерапия, ходи на плуване и Войта, Боуен цели 9 месеца преди операцията, но резултат нямаше - движения липсваха.
Първата му операция беше за трансплантиране на нерви от крачето. С много труд и усилия движения се появиха, но уви - не достатъчно. Дани продължава да прави рехабилитация всеки ден. Не е спирал от момента, в който е роден. Може да вдигне напред ръката си само с шина, може да я свие и до там... Пръстите му не се движат. Не може да хваща, което му създава трудности в ежедневието. Не може да се подпира, трудно балансира и пази равновесие. Трудно си играе на детската площадка сам. Трябва му помощ, за да обуе обувките си, да се облече, да се люлее, да се качи на пързалка, да си отвори бутилка, да се събуе, да си свали якето, да се облече, да ползва тоалетна и за още много други неща, с които връстниците му се справят самостоятелно...
Три години след първата му операция, въпреки надеждата ни, че ще постигнем по-големи резутати с рехабилитация, се оказа при последните прегледи, че ръката има контрактура. Тя не се подобрява и има вероятност от перманентно увреждане на раменната става, заради липсата на пълен обем от движения в нея.
След много размисли стигнахме до заключението, че е дошъл моментът за втора операция, която е наложителна за въстановяване на движенията.
Ние, като родители, искаме да видим как детето ни Дани прегръща с две ръце, как вдига двете си ръце, как играе с другите деца, без да изпитва затруднения, как се облича сам. Операцията, която ни предложиха в Турция е за транфер на мускули. След нея Дани трябва да може да отвори и вдигне ръката си настрани. Стойността е 12.960 евро, като включва и шините, които след това ще носи три месеца, за да е фиксирана ръката. Нашето семейство не разполага с тази сума..

This is Danny, 4 years old. He was born in Plovdiv in 2019, 5 kg. Unfortunately, at birth he received a left arm injury - Obstetric paresis total type, with several severed nerves and other lacerations.
This cost him movement throughout his left arm.
We went to Turkey right after the birth in hopes that he would still be able to move and use his arm fully. There we met the surgeon who performed Danny's first surgery. Months after his first check-up, we waited for the restoration of movement without surgical intervention. Danny had been in intensive rehab, physical therapy, going to swimming and Voita, Bowen for 9 whole months prior to surgery, but there was no result - no movement.
His first surgery was for a nerve transplant from his leg. With a lot of hard work and effort movements appeared, but alas - not enough. Danny continues to do rehabilitation every day. He has not stopped since the moment he was born. He can only lift his arm forward with a splint, he can flex it and that's it... His fingers don't move. He can't grip, which makes it difficult for him in everyday life. He can't prop himself up, has difficulty balancing and keeping his balance. Has difficulty playing on the playground by himself. He needs help to put on his shoes, get dressed, swing, get on the slide, open a bottle, take off his shoes, take off his jacket, get dressed, use the toilet and many other things that his peers can do independently...
Three years after his first surgery, despite our hope that we would achieve greater results with rehabilitation, it turned out at the last check-up that the hand had a contracture. It is not improving and there is a possibility of permanent damage to the shoulder joint because of the lack of full range of motion in it.
After much deliberation, we concluded that the time had come for a second operation, which was imperative to restore movement.
We, as parents, want to see our child Danny hugging with both arms, lifting both arms, playing with other children without difficulty, dressing himself. The operation we were offered in Turkey is for a muscle transfer. After it Danny should be able to open and lift his arm sideways. The cost is 12.960 euros and includes the splints he will then wear for three months to have the arm fixed. Our family does not have this amount..
