Пиша това с разтреперани ръце от болница в Истанбул последната ни надежда. Животът на любимата ми жена се изплъзва пред очите ми, а в България вече никой не чува виковете ми за помощ.
Пез 2024 г. тя се разболя от рак на корема. Месеци наред се лутахме в българската здравна система откази, забавяния, бездушие... Докато състоянието ѝ се влошаваше, времето изтичаше. Тогава взехме решение да потърсим лечение в Турция. Тук, в болница „Истиние“ в Истанбул, за една седмица направиха всички изследвания и започнаха лечение. През януари 2025 г. PET скенер показа: болестта си е отишла.
Но съдбата се оказа жестока.
На 22 април тя припадна. Взеха я с линейка, но в спешното дори не пожелаха да ѝ направят скенер на главата. Казаха, че е добре, и я изпратиха вкъщи. Няколко дни по-късно тя започна да провлачва крака си. Ръката ѝ не изпълняваше команди. За два дни напълно се обездвижи – вече е с катетър и памперси. А аз гледах как жената, с която съм споделил живота си, бавно угасва пред мен.
На 8 май, рано сутринта, получи тежки гърчове. Вкараха я в интензивното. Два дни се опитвах да я преместя в голяма болница за операция, но навсякъде удрях на стена. Две нощи не съм мигвал. Дори се обадих на клиниката в София, където преди това бяха казали, че е здрава оказа се, че на скенера още тогава е имало следи от проблем в мозъка. Никой не ни предупреди.
На 9 май, посред нощ, взех съпругата си с линейка и тръгнахме обратно към Турция. За трета поредна нощ не съм спал. Шофирам след линейката, държа волана, а в сърцето ми се моля да не е късно…
Нямаме вече сили, нямаме ресурси, но не мога да се откажа. Тя е моят свят. Украинка по рождение, живеем в Разград. Искам да ѝ дам шанс – не за чудо, а просто за живот, който всяка майка, съпруга и човек заслужава.

Please help me save my wife!
I write this with trembling hands from a hospital in Istanbul our last hope. My beloved wife's life is slipping away before my eyes, and no one in Bulgaria hears my cries for help anymore.
In 2024, she fell ill with abdominal cancer. For months we wandered through the Bulgarian healthcare system denials, delays, callousness... As her condition worsened, time was running out. Then we decided to seek treatment in Turkey. Here, at Istinie Hospital in Istanbul, they did all the tests and started treatment in one week. In January 2025, a PET scan showed: the disease was gone.
But fate proved cruel.
On April 22, she fainted. They took her by ambulance, but the ER wouldn't even do a head scan. They said she was fine, and sent her home. A few days later, she started to drag her leg. Her arm wouldn't follow commands. Within two days she was completely immobilized - now with a catheter and diapers. And I watched as the woman I shared my life with slowly faded away in front of me.
On May 8, early in the morning, she had a severe seizure. They rushed her into intensive care. I tried for two days to move her to a major hospital for surgery, but I hit a wall everywhere. I didn't blink for two nights. I even called the clinic in Sofia, where they had previously said she was healthy, it turned out that the scanner showed signs of a brain problem even then. Nobody warned us.
On 9 May, in the middle of the night, I took my wife by ambulance and we went back to Turkey. For the third night in a row I didn't sleep. I drive after the ambulance, I hold the steering wheel, and in my heart I pray that it is not too late...
We don't have the strength anymore, we don't have the resources, but I can't give up. She is my world. Ukrainian by birth, we live in Razgrad. I want to give her a chance - not for a miracle, but just for a life that every mother, wife and person deserves.
