Здравейте, казвам се Димитър Шатев и живея с над 85% загуба на слуха – състояние, което значително влияе върху ежедневния ми живот и възможностите ми за комуникация.

За мен светът е предимно беззвучен, а това изисква непрестанни усилия, за да преодолея пречките, които тишината поставя пред мен. Тази загуба на слуха ми създава сериозни затруднения в разбирането на реч, дори когато съм близо до говорещия. Общуването ми зависи предимно говорене на висок тон и текстови съобщения.

Въпреки тези усилия, много често се сблъсквам със социална изолация и трудност бързо да се адаптирам към ситуации, които изискват незабавна комуникация.

Hello, my name is Dimitar Shatev and I live with over 85% hearing loss - a condition that significantly affects my daily life and my ability to communicate.

For me, the world is mostly silent, and it requires constant effort to overcome the obstacles that silence places in front of me. This hearing loss creates serious difficulties for me in understanding speech, even when I am close to the speaker. My communication depends primarily on speaking in a high-pitched tone and texting.

Despite these efforts, I often experience social isolation and difficulty adapting quickly to situations that require immediate communication.
