Strange girls

The song of all girls

I have been listening to it for as long as I can remember.

My father came up with the idea for this text over a coffee more than 30 years ago. He wrote it down on a napkin and hummed a melody. He shared the text from the napkin with his band and they started playing it in the local disco. Quickly it became a hit among young people. For years, the song has been a part of the Talents Day at the local community centre. And yes, our community centre is an extremely important cultural part of the public life in the small town.

Dad was a part of this life. With his music, his acting skills, his kind and easy-going nature, he brought joy to the whole city. Everyone loves him.

Because he is a good person. Such people are so loveable. Responsive, always smiling, with a cheerful nature and a kind heart.

Even when cancer took away his voice, he continued to sing. This year he sang without a voice, but with his heart.

He is still fighting. We are fighting too. He always wanted people to hear his music. Not become famous or rich. He wanted to bring joy and be heard.

The Strange Girls is just one of his several audio recordings that he personally paid to have recorded in a professional sound studio. Well, he sold his bass guitar to have the means, but he was happy to leave something behind. He did it to preserve and save his creative works.

For us. For his children and grandchildren.

For you. The people who will listen with open hearts. The people he will touch, will delight, and maybe make them sad.

This song is for me and my sister, for my mother and all those “strange girls we can’t live without.”

For you!

Many people know him, but some of you don't. If his music has touched you, please help him in the fight against cancer.

After a long struggle here in Bulgaria, the doctors finally said that his cancer is not typical. The condition is a complicated one and there are no specialists and equipment in Bulgaria to help him.

This leads us to Germany. And to the need for financial assistance.  The power of spirit, faith and hope exist. Unfortunately, the funds are not sufficient.

We are grateful to each of you who read our story and are involved in the cause. Be healthy!

Weird Girls

From Nikolai Marin's daughter

The song of all girls.

I've been listening to her since I can remember.

My dad got the lyrics out of the blue over coffee more than 30 years ago. He wrote it down on a napkin and hummed the tune. He shared the lyrics from the napkin with his band and that's how they started playing it at the local disco. It quickly became a hit among the youth. For years the song was part of the talent day at the local community centre. And yes, our community centre is a very important cultural part of small town life.

Dad was part of that life. He delighted the whole town with his music, his acting, his kind and easy-going disposition. Everybody loved him.

Because he was good. And such people are to be loved. Helpful, always smiling, with a cheerful disposition and a kind heart.

Even when cancer took his voice, he kept singing. This year he sang without a voice, but with heart.

He is still fighting. We are fighting too. He always wanted people to hear his music. Not to become famous or rich. But to please and be heard.

Strange Girls is just one of several records he paid to record himself in a professional recording studio. Well, he sold his bass guitar to have the funds, but he was happy to leave something behind. He did it to preserve and preserve his creativity.

For us. His children and grandchildren.

For you. The people who will hear him with open hearts. Who it will touch, delight, and perhaps sadden.

This song is for me and my sister and my mom and all those "weird girls we can't do without".

For you!

Many people know it, but some of you don't. If his music has touched you, please help him fight cancer.

After much wandering here in Bulgaria, the doctors finally said his cancer was not typical. His condition is complicated and there are no specialists or equipment in Bulgaria to help him.

This brings us to Germany. And to the need for financial help. The strength of spirit, faith and hope are there. Unfortunately the funds are not enough.

We are grateful to each of you who read our story and empathize with the cause. Be well!
