Скъпи, приятели и дарители! Отдавна не сме писали, тъй като през последните около 2 месеца Божи все беше болен. Сега вече можем да кажем, че премихме (или поне така се надяваме) през грипния период.
Ето и накратко какво се случва с Божидар:
Съвсем скоро правихме ЕЕГ, резултатите от което показаха, че няма активност и всички, засега, е чисто.
Божи вече се храни и с пюрета, което съответно веднага се отрази на килограмите му и той вече има прилично коремче :)
Продължаваме с физиотерапията, която към този момент правим само в България, заради боледуването му, 5 дни в седмицата.
Ето и какво ни предстои:
Планираме през месец юни да направим първата трансплантация на стволови клетки в Азербайджан. Всеки трансфер ще е на цена между 15 000 и 20 000 евро, като още очакваме оферта от клиниката. След всеки един трансфер ще обсъждаме с докторите дали и как да продължим - може да направим само един, а може да направим и четири, според резултатите, които дава лечението.
Ежедневната рехабилитация на Божидар продължава, като съвсем скоро му предстои и преглед при български офталмолог, който да потвърди или отхвърли напредъкът със зрението, който ние виждаме (стискайте палци наистина да е така).

Dear friends and donors! It's been a long time since we've written, as Bozhi has been sick for the past 2 months or so. Now we can say that we are through (or so we hope) the flu season.
Here's a brief summary of what's going on with Bozhidar:
Just recently we did an EEG, the results of which showed that there is no activity and everyone, so far, is clear.
Bozhid is now eating pureed food, which has had an immediate effect on his weight and he has a decent tummy :)
We are continuing with physiotherapy, which at the moment we only do in Bulgaria, because of his illness, 5 days a week.
Here's what's next:
We plan to do the first stem cell transplant in Azerbaijan in June. Each transfer will cost between 15,000 and 20,000 euros and we are still waiting for an offer from the clinic. After each transfer we will discuss with the doctors whether and how to proceed - we may do just one, or we may do four, depending on the results the treatment gives.
Bozhidar's daily rehabilitation continues, and he is due to be seen by a Bulgarian ophthalmologist very soon to confirm or reject the progress with his vision that we are seeing (fingers crossed that this is indeed the case).
