I've been refraining from news lately as it is with a heavy heart that I have to share my woes of the past few months. 😓 I was undergoing physiotherapy successfully until a lump appeared on my thigh. It was determined to be edema and muscle tissue. However, over time it started to grow, harden and cause pain and discomfort. We immediately went to the doctors in Turkey and had x-rays taken, and then they wanted another test-I opted for an MRI. One of the problems was the implant(metal), but fortunately we were referred to the new equipment at Rusev Laboratories in Sofia, where we were able to successfully capture a clear image of the problem area. Alas, the reading was not encouraging. In a nutshell-a new tumor, close to the old location-recurrence, but this time affecting the soft tissue surrounding the implant. We immediately left for Turkey, we have been here since Thursday. The opinion of the doctors from Bulgaria was confirmed and 4 more tests were done. We had 8 consultations with different doctors and waited for a consilium on Tuesday (yesterday) to discuss the best course of action in order to save my leg but also remove the cancer! They judged that there was a good chance that staged treatment, again with chemotherapy, would give the desired result to make surgery possible!

One thing is for sure- I am ready to fight whatever it takes to make you happy again by saying "I am alive, healthy and happy, and eternally grateful for your help that got me here!" 🙏❤️❤️❤️

PP: We are relying on the campaign for the costs around treatment and hospital stay. In view of our experience, we hope the funds will come through. It's hard to predict. The first stage-3 courses of chemotherapy-will cost around £30k. Subsequent decisions will determine the remainder. THIS IS NOT A RENEWAL OF THE CAMPAIGN!
