To raise funds for Excella Technical Training Institute.

Empowering Vulnerable Communities through Skill-Based Education

Executive Summary:

Excella Technical Training Institute aims to provide high-quality, affordable education to students from vulnerable families in Juja, Kiambu, Kenya. By offering practical certificate and diploma courses in fields like construction, business, healthcare, technology, and hospitality, we wish to empower the youth to secure sustainable livelihoods and contribute to national development.

Background and Rationale:

There are many underserved communities with limited access to quality education and vocational training in Kenya. The demand for skilled labor in Kenya is growing, yet many youths lack opportunities and the finances to gain these skills. This initiative seeks to bridge this gap.

Objectives:

1. Provide very subsidized, accessible education in technical and health-related courses.

2. Equip students with skills for self-employment or formal job markets.

3. Contribute to the socio-economic development of Juja, Kiambu and its environs.

Proposed Courses:

- Artisanal (e.g., carpentry, welding)

- Plumbing and Electronics

- Plant Operations and Road Grading

- Health and Beauty (e.g., cosmetology, skincare)

- IT and Software Development

- Foods and Beverages (e.g., culinary arts)

- Health Courses (e.g., perioperative technology, certified nursing assistant, nursing, pharmacy technician, community health, health insurance assistants)

Budget Overview:

A detailed budget will cover construction, equipment purchase, staffing, scholarships, and operational costs.

Funding Request:

We seek Euro 295,000 to establish the institute and support the first cohort of 500 students.

Expected Impact:

- Educate and empower 1,000 students annually.

- Reduce unemployment and poverty in Juja.

- Support Kenya’s Vision 2030 goals on education and industrialization.
