Здравейте, прекрасни хора с огромни сърца!
Много време не сме споделяли никаква информация за случващото се със състоянието на мъжа ми, защото искахме да имаме конкретна информация и тогава да пишем. След като се върнахме от Турция в началото на месец Септември, трябваше да изчакаме резултатите от последната лумбална пункция и пробата от костния мозък, които отново показаха леки отклонения в резултати, но не можаха да дадат достатъчно конкретна информация, за да бъде поставена точна диагноза и съответно да бъде назначено лечение.
В края на Септември отново отидохме в София, където Иво лежа в клиниката по ревматология - УМБАЛ Свети Иван Рилски, където му направиха допълнителни генетични изследвания и след това в Клиниката по нервни болести на УМБАЛ „Александровска”, където отново му направиха лумбална пункция. Тъй като резултатите отново не бяха категорични, му приложиха лечение с кортикостероиди, за да запазят зрението на лявото му око, което за съжаление също се влоши.
Междувременно бяха пуснати две допълнителни патологии на пробата взета от главата при операцията, направена в Турция и едната патология даде позитивна имунохистохимична реакция за IDH1 и позитивна реакция в единични клетки на маркера p16, което насочва към туморна глиална пролиферация (по типа на нискостепенен глиален тумор), но заключението е, че материалът от пробата вече е твърде оскъден за окончателна хистологична преценка.
На 18-ти декември Иво беше приет в УМБАЛ Сърце и мозък в град Плевен, където след направено контролно ЯМР на главата, откриха ново образувание (по-голямо от първото) и прецениха, че трябва да отново да се направи мозъчна операция, за да се отстрани и да се изпрати за патологичен анализ, с надеждата този път той да даде основание за поставяне на точна диагноза и назначаване на необходимото лечение. Операцията беше направена на 21-ви декември и очакваме резултатите от патологията да са готови в началото на 2024 година.
Състоянието на Иво се влошава с всеки следващ ден без назначено конкретно лечение, но ние не губим надежда, че такова ще бъде намерено. We haven't shared any information about what's going on with my husband's condition in a long time because we wanted to have concrete information and then write. After we came back from Turkey in early September, we had to wait for the results of the last lumbar puncture and bone marrow sample, which again showed slight deviations in results, but could not give enough specific information to make an accurate diagnosis and therefore prescribe treatment.
At the end of September, we went to Sofia again, where Ivo was admitted to the rheumatology clinic at St. Ivan Rilski University Hospital, where he underwent further genetic tests, and then to the Clinic of Nervous Diseases at Alexandrovska University Hospital, where he again had a lumbar puncture. As the results were again inconclusive, he was treated with corticosteroids to preserve the vision in his left eye, which unfortunately also deteriorated.
In the meantime, two additional pathologies were run on the sample taken from the head at the surgery done in Turkey and one pathology yielded a positive immunohistochemical reaction for IDH1 and a positive single cell reaction for the marker p16, which points to a tumor glial proliferation (along the lines of a low grade glial tumor), but the conclusion was that the sample material was now too sparse for a definitive histological assessment.
On the 18th of December Ivo was admitted to the Heart and Brain Hospital in Pleven, where, after a control MRI of the head, they found a new mass (larger than the first one) and considered that brain surgery should be performed again to remove it and send it for pathological analysis, hoping that this time it would provide a basis for making an accurate diagnosis and prescribing the necessary treatment. The surgery was performed on December 21 and we expect the pathology results to be ready in early 2024.
Ivo's condition worsens with each passing day without a specific treatment assigned, but we are not losing hope that one will be found.
