When a song meets a stage, and a child meets support — a story is born.
A story that inspires.
That’s the story of Nikol and Marina Ivanova – two sisters who sing, dance, and proudly carry Bulgaria’s folk traditions into the future.
Thanks to a fundraising campaign on PavelAndreev.ORG, nearly 100 supporters helped raise over €3,000. The funds will help cover the costs for upcoming international folk festivals – including flights, participation fees, accommodation, and the creation of new traditional costumes and songs.
Nikol Ivanova began singing at age 5 and was mentored by the legendary Yanka Rupkina. Her talent has already earned her more than 150 awards from national and international competitions.
Just days ago, she won a gold medal for an original folk song created especially for her.
Marina is following her older sister’s path – starting with folk dance and now moving into singing as well. She appeared in the children’s edition of the popular TV show "Like Two Drops of Water", performing with the ensemble where she dances. On stage, the two often perform together – Nikol sings, and Marina dances.
The next big goal: participating in the "Creativita senza frontiere" festival in Italy this summer. Preparations are already underway – including tailored folk costumes, new musical arrangements, and travel planning.
📣 The dream is for both girls to represent Bulgaria on international stages – with pride and tradition behind them. And with this kind of support, it’s within reach.
