Victory After Pain: Toni Shows Progress in Her Treatment

Sometimes life presents challenges that no one is prepared for. This is how Tony’s story begins – a young woman facing one of the toughest challenges: the diagnosis of adenoid cystic carcinoma of the parotid gland.

It all started with a “harmless” lump that turned out to be something much more serious. Surgeries followed, loss of the facial nerve, radiation therapies, remission... and then – new metastases: in the lungs, lower back, liver. The fight became harder with every subsequent therapy. Hoping for an alternative, Tony took a new path – treatment abroad, where she received a new chance through special chemotherapy.

We share with you the good news: the results of the latest PET scan show no new metastases, some of the old ones have disappeared, and others have significantly decreased. After several chemotherapy courses, on August 7th Tony will have a new PET scan and check-up, from which we expect even more good news.

In this battle, Tony was not alone. Her campaign touched thousands. So far, over 1717 donors have helped with a total sum of over 43,897.28 EUR. This is more than a number – it is strength, solidarity, and true support.
