Dear donors, today Bobby was admitted to Biruni Hospital for elective Botox to reduce spasticity. We had previously discussed his condition with Dr. Fuat Bilgili, the orthopedic surgeon who has been following his progress since his arrival for treatment in Turkey over four years ago. We owe a lot to him he has always been available for our questions and we have received the attention we needed. We were aware that we were coming in for Botox, but once the anaesthetic was administered it would become clear if relaxing surgery was required. We were secretly hoping that it would not be necessary, but after the anaesthetic was put in the spasticity had not relaxed enough and the ligaments had to be relaxed in four places.

The whole operation went well and just an hour afterwards Bobby was feeling much better and a smile was already on his face. We wanted to pay for the procedure out of our own money, but after it happened that we also had to have surgery, we were not able to raise the whole amount and now we are waiting for a new proforma to pay the difference for the surgery which will be around 4 thousand euros.
