Dear people,
we are writing to you with a heavy heart - because today we have experienced the worst... but we also grasped onto hope!

Our little Denitsa - only 1 year and 7 months old - went through an extremely difficult and risky surgery in Istanbul.
In the morning she had a bone marrow sample taken under full anaesthetic, and then the fateful operation to remove the tumour began.

But... during the operation, the doctor - Prof. Dr. Mehmet Shen - came out and told us something no parent wants to hear...

Not only was the tumor aggressive, but it had infiltrated Denitsa's kidney itself.
Despite her previous chemotherapy treatment in Bulgaria, there was almost no response in her body - as if it had never been conducted at all.

The only chance for life was for the kidney to be removed completely.
With much pain, but also with faith, we gave our consent.

🙏 And thank God - the operation was successful!
The kidney was removed and sent for emergency histology, and Denitsa is now in intensive care, under round-the-clock observation.

She is fighting. With strength that does not suit such a tiny body.
Fighting for every breath. For every tomorrow.

⚠️ There are more procedures, more treatments, and very serious costs that are beyond our means.
