ANA-MARIA will soon be 5 years old, she is an active and lively child who sings, jumps, plays all day long a child who did not want to hear about sleep. But unfortunately 3 months ago my daughter started vomiting, she felt faint, she only wanted to sleep because her little head hurt. Our pediatric neurologist ordered a scanner the moment he examined her.

Minutes later I heard the scariest words for a mother "Your daughter has hydrocephalus and a tumor on the cerebellum. The child must be admitted to the hospital as a matter of urgency.''

By the evening the child was hospitalized with treatment a few days later an MRI was done, a day later a valve was inserted for hydrocephalus, after another 10 days surgery was done to remove the tumor. Unfortunately very little of the tumor was removed.

The doctors in Bulgaria told me that more than that could not be removed because the tumor was affecting very important organs that were threatening the child's life.

After repeated enquiries from Turkey, they gave us hope that they could remove the whole tumour without consequences, without endangering Ana-Maria's life. The doctors' opinion is not to delay because the tumor is in the brain and no one knows when and what this will affect the child.

Unfortunately the amount is unaffordable for our family, but I believe that together we will save my daughter.
