Hello, friends and good people!

My name is Cvetomir and I am 31 years old. Unfortunately life sometimes confronts us with difficulties we are not ready for. My story started at the end of 2019, when I was admitted to "VMA Sofia" with multiple thromboses and pulmonary embolism.

After spending a total of over 21 days in intensive care, a surgically removed spleen and deep vein thrombosis of both limbs, I was discharged in early February 2020. But just when you think this whole nightmare is over, life presents you with a new test. In April 2020, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic T cell leukemia.

I started treatment right away at the "Hospital for Lukemia - Sofia" and after three courses of chemotherapy the disease was in complete remission. January 2021 was my allogeneic stem cell transplant from a fully compatible (10 out of 10) unrelated donor. The transplant was successful but subsequently there were multiple complications due to the immunosuppressive therapy that was required for the donor cells. He survived the"Epstein-Barr virus" as well as fighting"COVID 19" for over a year. Luckily and fortunately for me, I was able to fight off both, thanks to the good work of the doctors back then.

After control blood tests and a bone marrow biopsy, at the end of January 2024 (3 years after the stem cell transplant) it turned out that the disease had returned and I had a relapse of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The treatment that lies ahead includes chemotherapy again, but this time more intensive and aggressive, and a second stem cell transplant. Due to the complexity of the treatment, the chance of another success is not great, but anyone who knows me knows that no matter how hard it is, I will not give up and will fight to the end for my life!

The Anadolu Medical Center Hospital in Istanbul is giving us hope that the disease can be cured a second time! The amount that the hospital in Turkey is asking for all the treatment is unaffordable for me and my family.
