Hello, dear friends.

Geri is 34 years old and this spring she became ill with bronchopneumonia, which is difficult to treat and she underwent a long antibiotic treatment. She has swollen lymph nodes, but from the anti-obiotic treatment the swelling went down and she decided that everything was fine. In July, things dramatically worsened, she developed profuse bleeding and was admitted to the emergency room in Burgas. From there she was referred to haematology, who referred her to the oncohaematology hospital in Sofia. There, a bone marrow biopsy diagnosed her with Acute T-Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

The first weeks pass in shock for Geri and the family and they literally do not know what is happening and what they should do. She underwent 2 courses of chemotherapy and achieved remission, but a new biopsy revealed a different pathology - myeloid leukaemia. As things start to get complicated, Geri's family contact an oncohematology professor from Turkey. At the moment, the Turkish specialist wants to do new tests in order to clarify the exact diagnosis, after which treatment will begin.

We don't have an exact offer for the treatment yet, we will only get it after they examine Geri in the Turkish hospital, but the treatment will be long and probably a lot of money will be needed for the treatment in Turkey as well.

Unfortunately Geri can't even go for the tests that are needed to issue an exact offer..
