For Mom - because she is our world

There are some people in life that we just can't imagine life without. For me, it's Mom. She is the light in our home, the voice that soothes me, the arms that always hug me even when words are unnecessary.

Today, she faces an ordeal that no one deserves. Illness came on suddenly and changed everything. It stole our peace, but not our hope. Because my mom is a fighter. She always has been. And now it's our turn to be fighters for her.

Our mother, Igbale, was diagnosed with non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma - solid type G3, advanced and with multiple metastases.

We are fighting for a chance. For more smiles. For more time.

Treatment is tough, expensive, but our love is stronger. And we believe that with our combined strength, we will get through this.

I'm asking everyone who has the opportunity to lend a hand. To be part of our fight. There is no small help - there are good people with big hearts.

Mom deserves to live, to laugh, to be the strong woman we all love again.

She deserves to fight back. And we'll do anything for that.
