Кошмарът за нас започна на 07.08.2023 след като Иван се прибра от морето на ,което беше с приятели. Говорим за един 17 годишен младеж , който е спортист и водеше един доста активен начин на живот. Имаше подуване от дясната страна на корема без болка и след посещението на личния лекар беше изпратен директно в Пирогов по спешност. От Пирогов не можаха да разберат точно какво му е и ни пратиха в детската болница.Там започнаха всякакви изследвания, докато стигнаха до диагнозата автоимунно заболяване склерозиращ холангит.

И така стана на 18г и вече сме при възрастните. На първия преглед във Военна болница ни казаха, че е  направо за трансплантация и  няма друг вариант за лечение.

От тук нататък ще става по-зле, няма вариант да се излекува освен трансплантация . Бяхме в шок естествено , но го приехме ,че вече се е случило и нищо не можем да направим .
 
За съжаление в България трансплантация на черен дроб се прави само от мъртъв донор. Статистиката е такава ,че има 10 операции годишно. Затова се консултирахме с две турски болници ,където се извършват трансплантации от жив донор.
 
Направихме изследвания на баща му, за да сме сигурни , че може са стане донор и след като ни дадоха зелена светлина, че може, остава финансовата част. Последните два месеца състоянието му рязко се влоши, той няма никакви сили, лежи по цял ден  ,всяка вечер е с температура, много рядко излиза за не повече от 2 часа.
 
Тази година е и абитуриент, почти не ходи на училище . Всички се надяваме да се случат нещата по бързо , и да може да се върне към нормалния начин на живот. Надявам се и вярвам ,че в този труден за нас момент много хора ще ни подкрепят.

The nightmare for us started on 07.08.2023 after Ivan came home from the sea, where he was with friends. We are talking about a 17 year old young man , who is an athlete and led a very active lifestyle. He had a swelling on the right side of his abdomen with no pain and was sent directly to Pirogov as an emergency after visiting the GP. The Pirogov couldn't figure out exactly what was wrong with him and sent us to the children's hospital.There they started all sorts of tests until they arrived at the diagnosis of autoimmune disease sclerosing cholangitis.

And so we turned 18 and now we are with the adults. At the first check up at the military hospital we were told it was a straight transplant and there was no other treatment option.

From here on it will get worse, no option to cure except transplant . We were in shock of course , but we accepted it , it has already happened and there is nothing we can do .
Unfortunately in Bulgaria a liver transplant is only done from a dead donor. The statistics are that there are 10 operations a year. So we consulted two Turkish hospitals where transplants are performed from a living donor.
We did tests on his father to make sure he could become a donor and after we were given the green light that he could, the financial part remained. The last two months his condition has deteriorated sharply, he has no strength, he lies all day , every night with fever, very rarely goes out for more than 2 hours.
This year he is also a graduate, he hardly goes to school . We all hope things will happen faster , and he can go back to normal life. I hope and believe that in this difficult time for us many people will support us.
