My name is Tsvetan Dimitrov Andreev, 39 years old, from the town of. I am 39 years old from Sofia.

Month July 2023 I was diagnosed with ring cell adenocarcinoma of stomach ( stomach cancer) with dissections in bones, effusion in lungs and heart ( last stage). I immediately started treatment in Sofia where I did one chemotherapy and no hope from the doctors........

I went for a second opinion in Istanbul after a recommendation from my relative who is alive and well to this day, thanks to the docs there. She told me "cancer is treated there, they can help you there".

I trusted the doctors at ANADOLU JOHNS HOPKINS MEDICINE, who stated that the tests done in Sofia were not correct, and it was up to them what treatment would be applied. So, the treatment changed and I did a course of three chemotherapies and three operations to remove the effusions ( of the heart and one on each lung ), for which we spent over 100,000lv of personal funds.

After the treatment was administered, an MRI and five scans were done and it was found that the cancer was stopped but there was no positive progression, which necessitated a change of treatment to an extremely expensive drug(ENHERTU). The cost of one infusion is 33,000BGN and a minimum of six must be done. Due to my condition I am now 5 months in hospital, and the stay is even more expensive than the treatment itself. Hospitalization is necessary because of side effects of the disease.
