Адриан приключи втори курс химиотерапия. В понеделник (07.07) сме на контролен преглед, като в момента сме в апартамента и поддържаме кръвните показатели с инжекции "Fraven" всеки ден. За сега, той се чувства добре.
Разчета на последното ЯМР и PET скенер дадоха и добри и лоши новини. Добрата е, че разсейките в белите дробове са започнали да се повлияват от химиотерапията и въпреки че са все още там, се забелязва че се свиват, според проф. Фунда.
Лошата новина е, че виждат в дясното слепоочие (областта където беше първичният тумор отстранен в България), по-малко (около 1см) образование, което изглежда капсуловано. След консултация с друг УНГ професор, най-вероятно ще се наложи повторна операция в тази област за да се изчисти всичко. За сега, единодушно с проф. Фунда решихме да се изчака и да се направят още два курса химиотерапия, ЯМР и тогава да се види каква е ситуацията в тази област.
Решението бе взето тъй като все пак има шанс това образование да се повлияе от химиотерапия, а операцията не изглежда спешна поне на този етап.
Adrian completed a second course of chemotherapy. On Monday (07.07) we have a check-up, we are currently in the apartment and we maintain the blood values with injections "Fraven" every day. For now, he is feeling fine.
Readings on the last MRI and PET scan gave both good and bad news. The good news is that the scatters in his lungs have started to respond to the chemotherapy, and although they are still there, they are seen to be shrinking, according to Prof. Fraven. Funda.
The bad news is that they are seeing in the right temple (the area where the primary tumour was removed in Bulgaria), a smaller (about 1cm) mass that appears to be encapsulated. After consulting with another ENT professor, I will most likely need a re-operation in that area to clear everything up. For now, unanimously with prof. Funda we decided to wait and do two more courses of chemotherapy, MRI and then see what the situation is in this area.
The decision was taken as there is still a chance that this formation will be affected by chemotherapy and surgery does not seem urgent at least at this stage.
