I've always thought that we can handle anything as long as we are healthy. I really wish I didn't have to write the next lines, but alas......

❤️Крисия is our little hero. A very inquisitive and full of desire for a normal life child. But now more than ever, she needs someone to support her in the battles she has to fight.

She was born in the 9th month weighing 3.800kg. 50cm. From Stara Zagora.

We found out about her illnesses when she was 5 months old.

We were admitted to the gastroenterology ward in Plovdiv for colic, and we were discharged with a bunch of diagnoses!..........

Ischemic strokes (started prenatally), epilepsy (was having several types of seizures including West syndrome), right sided hemiparesis, levoencephalopathy and thrombophilia.

Half of the diagnoses I had encountered before, the others I had only heard of 🤔.

And so a whole 45 days in neurology, which felt like an eternity. Every day we were told something new and given new and new medications. And the hope for a happy childhood remained ever so distant. We were discharged with a bag of medication, an unstable sitting position, barely 5,690lbs.

To this day, Chrissie has never stopped putting up fight after fight. She is now almost 5 and weighs 12lbs. She stands up on her own, but has to be held and supported to stay upright. She gets down and up from furniture on her own, holding herself up with just her left hand. The right side of her body is affected. Therefore she moves independently only on her knees. They are now extremely rough. She is still in a diaper and cannot feed herself. On her right leg she steps on her toes and starts to do non traction (visible screaming right leg) . On consultation with neurologist they also found scoliosis in mild form.

❗But Chrissy is growing and needs emergency Achilles tendon surgery. Because she wants to run and play with other children. And this is only possible if she undergoes surgery to lengthen her Achilles. We chose to move the two things together in Turkey! In addition to the surgery, we will treat the seizures, which are becoming more persistent, again with a neurologist in Turkey. Urgent check-ups and tests were needed to monitor her current condition. Unfortunately they are all extremely expensive.

😥 All of these monthly costs to monitor and treat her epilepsy, as well as the cost of the surgery and rehabilitation afterwards, and the cost of the stays we make in Istanbul, are prohibitive for us and our family!

🙏Therefore we have to ask for your help and support. Please support our little Chrissy. She is our little hero. Give her a chance for a wonderful childhood, not only filled with pain and silent lying in bed.
