We are Darina and Vasil, parents of Victor, who will turn 3 in November! Our beautiful struggling boy is a long-awaited and desired child who was born 2 months before term weighing only 1340g. With a lot of strength and zest for life he has managed to overcome many trials, but sadly there is one more to come.

Victor has been attending rehabs since he was 2 months old, but the motor delay is still a fact. At 1y3m we heard the diagnosis of Spastic Diplegia (a form of Cerebral Palsy). Vicky's spasticity in his feet prevents him from being able to stand on a full leg , be stable and balanced. However, there is hope and it comes from a hospital in St. Louis-USA where the Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery is being performed. An operation in which part of the sensory dorsal nerves that cause spasticity in the lower limbs are severed. After the surgery, Vicky will be able to walk on his whole leg, there will be no tightness in the leg muscles, he will have improved balance and coordination, the chances of walking independently are over 90%.Having met children who have gone through this surgery, we believe that in our child the results will approach 100% recovery and he will be able to run and play with his friends.

For this to happen though, Vicky and I need your help. The amount is prohibitive for our family, so we are asking for your support at this time!
