Shalom Enekhole Onoja is a vibrant 12 year old girl who has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a bone cancer desease. About 6 months ago Shalom felt a sharp pain in her right leg just above the knee whilst walking back from school and a few days later the leg began to swell. Her life changed dramatically when the doctors told her that she had bone cancer and had to be amputated.

Shalom is a very bubly and intelligent girl whose dream of becoming a medical doctor when she grows up seems to have been shattered since she has not been able to go to school ever since she was diognosed with bone cancer and the trauma of losing her leg has taken a serious toll on her health resulting in her losing more than 10 kgs in 3 months.

Thankfully , there is hope for Shalom's leg through doctors in India who have indicated that they can save Shalom's leg from amputation through a procedure known as Limb salvage surgery.

Family and friends have quickly come together and managed to raised USD6500.00 to enable Shalom and her mother , Ndakadashe Shumba to travel to India. So far , Shalom has gone through 3 sessions of chermotherapy at Manipal Hospital in India and is scheduled for another 3 sessions of chermotherapy and 1 session of immunotherapy after 21 days afterwhich she will have the vital limb salvage surgery.

The total cost for the surgery is USD14,000.00

We are therefore humbly appealing for financial assistance to the tune of USD14000 in order to save Shalom's leg from amputation and give her a chance at a healthier future. May the Almighty God bless every hand that will reach out to assist Shalom

Together we can Save Shalom's leg
